Sharing the Love: Testimonials from Fellow Parent-Educators
Feb 08, 2026
Behind every Autism Oasis lesson is a real family navigating real days, the hard ones, the hopeful ones, and the moments that quietly change everything. While we can explain our approach, it’s the words of parents and caregivers that best reflect what flexible, respectful learning looks like in practice.
This month, we’re celebrating what love in education really looks like. For us, love means presuming competence, honoring communication, and providing instruction that respects our students’ intelligence, even when progress shows up in unexpected ways.
Here’s what families have shared about their experiences.
“We LOVE the Autism Oasis curriculum! Anderson has done so well with such a well-paced, customizable curriculum approach. It has been so incredible to see how his brain processes information, and allowing him to learn in ways that are effective for him! Thank you for being here and helping me help my son reach his true potential.”
— C.A.
This kind of growth is exactly why flexibility matters. Learning that adapts to the student instead of forcing the student to adapt to the lesson.
“My son Noah is in first grade this year, and we have been loving your curriculum! He has finished the reading part of the curriculum. He’s obsessed with all the sight words and is doing SO well!”
— B.C.
Progress doesn’t always come from pushing harder. Sometimes it comes from finding the right fit.
“Just wanted to drop a huuuge THANK YOU for the resources, info, and gentle reminders to ease into it and give myself grace. I feel so empowered, and I just know that this is such a great step in the right direction (one I’ve been searching for a while now!). I feel so seen and understood, and just wanted to send over my thoughts of appreciation for all you have done here.”
— Y.D.
Feeling seen and supported matters, especially in homeschool journeys that don’t follow a traditional path.
One parent shared an update about a recent learning moment at home:
“He just told me (his own way) all the numbers as I pointed to them, and he knows even 40 and 80 and such. I know he can count objects as well. (I don’t know if he can count up to 80, but I know for sure up to 20.) I am really amazed. I kept thinking that he only understood at the level that he could communicate; you really have opened my understanding even deeper about my boy!”
— A.C.
Every story is a reminder that communication looks different, and understanding often runs deeper than words.
We’re grateful to be part of these learning journeys and to support families as they discover what’s possible, one moment at a time.
